Whether planned as part of a media campaign, a team motivator or simply for the challenge; making – and breaking – world records is becoming increasingly popular and something we have in-depth experience of achieving.

The Watermark team have been involved in 7 successful world record breaking attempts – including Steve Fosset’s Virgin Atlantic Global Challenger, Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic Aquada Cross Channel Challenge, the World’s largest balloon release for Disney and most recently the Shell Fuel Economy Challenge.

On the day there is usually just one chance to break the World Record, we ensure everything is in place before then in order to achieve a successful attempt with maximum PR appeal – from liasing with local authorities to designing and building special equipment.

We were delighted in 2005 to win a Gold Award at the prestigious Haymarket Events Award Ceremony for our event management and production supporting the Global Challenger.
